Throughout the long, arduous process of writing this story, I had the support of many close friends and family. Without the love, support and inspiration from these people, this story would never have been written. I would have never achieved a life-long goal of completing the following story that I have always wished to tell.

As my way of thanking each one of them, I would like to mention as many of them as I can recall. First and foremost, I would like to thank my family, Melanie my mother, John my father and Natalie my sister for their unending love and encouragement since I was brought into the world. I would also like to thank them for introducing me to the splendour of the silver screen.

I would like to thank my greatest friend Andy for always outdoing my somewhat inappropriate sense of humour even at the most bleakest of times. I would like to thank the girls, Holly, Kayleigh, Kirsty and Nat for getting me through university with a smile on my face and giving me some of the greatest moments of my life.

A special thank you goes to Shru for her original inspiration regarding this story one day many years ago over a Yahoo! Messenger conversation.

I also feel that I should thank the people I was once close to in times past and present. This is especially true for Kayleigh, who's always been there despite things being right in front of our faces.

Furthermore, to make sure I don’t miss anyone out, I would like to thank anyone that has ever talked to me, kept me company, put up with my various inadequacies and put a smile on my face. Thank you to everyone I knew from the LPU, Liverpool Locals, the friendly local bar flies, and my time experiencing the English education system and my teachers.

Finally, I would like to add a note of remembrance for my English teacher Mr. T. Butler, who gave me the greatest piece of advice I could ever need when it came to writing, and Mr. P Kirkland, my godfather, whom I never had the opportunity to say goodbye to.

You will never be forgotten.
